About Me

Writing is freeing. I've kept a journal consistently since I was seven years old; I know not many profound things are written when you're that little. Majority of my entries were about school, my friends, the good school lunches of the week and so forth..but I always found something freeing in being able to write about your day, how things made you feel and being able to look back and relive those things- that's the power of words. I'm always thinking of things to write, whether I'm in church during worship, driving in the car and listening to music or people watching; my brain is constantly writing stories and journal entires.

Most of the time, I'd rather write about how I feel opposed to talking about it. When I'm excited, upset, or whatever it may be, I can't help but think I need to write about this. There is something about releasing those captive thoughts and putting them somewhere. I journal mostly everyday, but poetry is something I'm passionate about writing when the moment is right and inspired. When something is pressing on my heart, I'll usually write poetry...which is my favorite and always has been since I was a kid. This blog is called seasonal words because life is full of seasons and in every season, there is something different to be written about and there is new lessons learned. Seasonal actually means- fluctuating according to the season or time of the year. I loved this and thought how I love thinking of my words as seasonal, some may be in high points of my life and some may be in low points...it just all depends on the season. And seasons don't last forever, but it's beautiful to look back on every season and see God's hand over them all. I've also always been nervous to share my writing but I hope they can inspire you or at least be a good read every once in a while. Enjoy.
